  27. FM StepUp package on Bulletin Board Systems.

  41. As the exclusive copyright holder for FM StepUp, ChaoSoft
  42. authorizes on-line distribution only in accordance with the
  43. following restrictions.  Disk Vendors and Distributors should
  44. refer to the VENDOR.TXT text file for complete license
  45. information.

  47. The FM StepUp package is defined as containing all the
  48. material listed in the PACKING.LST text file.  If any files
  49. listed in the PACKING.LST text file, or the PACKING.LST file
  50. itself, are missing, then the package is not complete and
  51. distribution is forbidden.  Please contact us to obtain a
  52. complete package suitable for distribution.

  54.     o  The FM StepUp package - including all related program files
  55.        and documentation files - CANNOT be modified in any way
  56.        (other than that mentioned in the following paragraph) and
  57.        must be distributed as a complete package, without
  58.        exception.  The PACKING.LST text file contains a list of
  59.        all files that are part of the FM StepUp package.

  61.     o  Many BBSs customarily add a small text file (advertisement)
  62.        to each archived file.  This text file describes the BBS
  63.        and tells people that the file was downloaded from that
  64.        particular BBS.  Other BBSs add a small one-line message
  65.        with their BBS name and phone number into the compressed
  66.        file, which will display when the file is uncompressed.
  67.        Either of these methods of mentioning your BBS are
  68.        acceptable and may be used, provided the program and
  69.        documentation is otherwise unmodified and complete.

  71.     o  ChaoSoft prohibits the distribution of outdated versions of
  72.        the FM StepUp package, without written permission from
  73.        ChaoSoft.  If the version you have obtained is over three
  74.        (3) months old, please contact us to ensure that you have
  75.        the most current version. This version was released in
  76.        August, 1994

  78.     o  U.S. Government Information:  Use, duplication, or
  79.        disclosure by the U.S. Government of the computer software
  80.        and documentation in this package shall be subject to the
  81.        restricted rights applicable to commercial computer
  82.        software as set forth in subdivision (b)(3)(ii) of the
  83.        Rights in Technical Data and Computer Software clause at
  84.        252.227-7013 (DFARS 52.227-7013).  The Contractor/

  89. Software. You are not allowed to make any modifications to, or to
  90. create derivative works from any of the files that are used in
  91. this software. This includes all the executable, help,

  94. termination of this license.
